The ISE celebrates its 30 year anniversary in style by showcasing new tackle
in San Mateo, CA (continued)
Powell:
Powell made waves recently by
getting into the bass rod business, but lets not forget where the company's
roots rest. When it came to a killer deal on a fly rod outfit Powell had the
deal of the show. We found Keith Bryan, President of Powell selling their
premium Tiboron II rods and Switchback reels for some amazing prices. These
combos normally retail for $724.00, but at the show they were only $399.00,
that's a downright steal. The booth was packed with so many people trying to
purchase rods we could barely get shots of the combos before enthusiastic fly
fisherman wrestled the rods away from us.

Scientific Anglers: Now that you have a fly
outfit your going to need some line to go with that. We were lucky enough to
hook up with John Stark the inventor of the L2L (Line to Leader) connectors we
learned about
last
year. At this show we were shown the next evolution of this system,
the "L2L Reconnect."
