Introduction: Each and every year, Simms has a dizzying array of new product to help outfit anglers for the coming seasons and protect them from the elements. This year is no different and we zeroed in on a few key products that we think anglers who like to challenge the elements as well as themselves while in pursuit of their favorite quarry. Here's what's new from Simms at ICAST 2020.

Simms updates their flagship rain suit, ProDry

ProDry Jacket and Bib : As the company's flagship rainsuit for bass fishermen, the ProDry Jacket and Bib is updated with a more waterproof, yet breathable fabric than any previous generation.

By using two different fabrics in this new ProDry generation from the Gore-Tex portfolio, Simms has tailored protection and comfort to suit the angler's needs reinforcing areas like the hood and shoulders of the jacket with heavier denier Gore-Tex, then using a lighter, Pro Shell elsewhere for better range of motion, fit, and comfort.

Other improvements include their new Shingle Cuff in the sleeves constructed of a stretch material allowing a better, water-tight seal around the wrists. Each piece in this suit, the jacket and bib, are sold separately for $599.95 each.

The new Flyweight Stockingfoot Wader is built with the high output angler in mind

Flyweight Stockingfoot Wader : Simms combines three different Gore-Tex Pro Shell fabrics in their creation of their new Flyweight Stockingfoot Wader, a garment designed for anglers that leave their homes and vehicles and sunup and don't come back until sundown. These high output anglers need a wader that is comfortable to wear all day long and Simms accomplishes this by using a rugged, breathable 4-layer fabric in the legs with a lighter, 3-layer fabric in the upper part of the wader for even better breathability.

A 511 hex grid panel on the chest creates a multi angle, load bearing platform to attach a variety of accessories

In the crotch and under the arms, they use a 3-layer stretch Gore-Tex fabric to enhance better mobility. This marks the first time Simms has used a stretch material in a wader. What's more, there are zippers under the arms that open up the sides for a more relaxed fit when eating lunch or rowing. There's also a new, hex air gravel guard that releases water more quickly, dries faster, and packs smaller. Finally, Simms has included a 511 hex grid panel on the chest creating a multi angle, load bearing platform to attach a variety of accessories. The new Flyweight Stockingfoot Wader comes with an MSRP of $549.95.

The new Women's Challenger Jacket and Bib is made of a 2-layer, breathable, waterproof Toray fabric

Women's Challenger Jacket & Bib : Not only does Simms update their popular Challenger jacket and bib, but now they're finally making it in sizes tailored to fit a woman's frame. The new Women's Challenger Jacket and Bib is made of a 2-layer, breathable, waterproof Toray fabric. It comes with the same oversized chest pocket, built in sunglass chamois, adjustable cuffs, handwarmer pockets, d-rings for kill switch attachment, and adjustable hems for customized fits as the men's. Simms has added refinements like a new waterproof storm flap over the zippers to prevent water infiltration when running the boat at high speeds. MSRP for the entire suit is $399.90 or $199 if the components are purchase separately.
