Plano Breaks the Mold Again with the EDGE Flex Series Storage Boxes

Date: 7/7/20
Location: Virtual Event
Admission: Industry Only
Manufacturer: Plano
Reviewer: Zander

Introduction: With over 65 years of storage experience Plano is still setting the bar when it comes to tackle storage. This year the company is building on their popular EDGE line with an even more customizable addition to the series which is appropriately named the Flex Series.

The EDGE Flex box is like a blank canvas where the angler can create their ideal storage solution

Flexing on the competition: The EDGE tackle series was already a major upgrade from traditional boxes offering easy one handed latch design, o-ring seals, pre-separated vented dividers, Rustrictor technology for rust protection, an easy label system, and a moisture wicking packet to keep lures in top condition after use. The EDGE Series launched last season in 3700 sizes which is very popular among tournament anglers. This year the company is making a number of their EDGE boxes available in 3600 and 3500 sizes, including their popular modular terminal tackle box.

The box comes with pre-cut dividers to populate the entire box

In addition to the new sizes Plano is also launching a brand new addition called the Flex Series, the first StowAway to allow the user to customize the entire internal divider system. The new 3600 and 3700 Flex boxes are like a blank canvas, and allow literally endless options for anglers to personalize their storage for any particular fishing application, technique, lure type, species, or trip.

Go big for larger items...

...or mix it up to hold a variety of lures, terminal tackle, and even tools

At the heart of the new EDGE Flex is its proprietary divider system. Each EDGE 3600 or 3700 Flex comes with five 4X Dividers, six 3X Dividers, nine 2X Dividers, and 18 1X Dividers.

Anglers asked for smaller 3500 and 3600 size EDGE boxes and the new FLEX will be available in the 3600 size while other EDGE boxes will even come in the compact 3500 size

The EDGE Flex interlocking dividers can be configured in any possible configuration to create small or large, short or long and any combination of storage bays. With this flexibility, anglers can even store tools, large lures, and soft plastics next to small terminal tackle, weights and hooks in a single box.

The EDGE Flex comes with all the features that made the original series popular and offers more freedom to configure than ever before

Like the previously launched EDGE boxes the Flex Series makes use of heavy-duty steel-pin hinges, a one-hand opening latch, a durable ribbed base and a lid that lends itself to stacking multiple units. These boxes are built tough and are designed to last a lifetime. The EDGE 3600 Flex will retail for $29.99 and the 3700 Flex will retail for $39.99, and both of these boxes will be available for purchase on December 1st.
