Duckett Introduces their Flagship Paradigm CRW
Introduction: Duckett may still be known best for their rods but with
each season the brand continues to refine their reel offering. This ICAST the
focus from the company in the new product showcase was their new flagship
Paradigm CRW casting reels.
Meet Duckett's new flagship baitcaster, the Paradigm CRW
Casting Paradigm: The new baitcaster follows the introduction of the
Paradigm SWX spinning reels that were introduced earlier this year. The new
Paradigm low-profile reels feature a similar black and white design that matches
up well with just about all the rods that the company offers. This reel comes
loaded with a 10 Japanese bearing system and the drive gear is constructed from
duraluminum which offers a good balance of weight and durability.
The Paradigm features easy access cast control
are designed to manhandle even the biggest bass and Duckett includes a large
stack of carbon washers in the drag system which is rates at 20lbs.
The reel is a good match for the similarly styled Paradigm
spinning reel introduced prior to ICAST
reinforced gear support system not only helps improve performance out of the
box, but is designed to keep the reels performing well over the long haul. To
help keep things organized the reel has a line weight indicator on the inner
frame, and cast control is externally adjustable.
The Paradigm CRW features a swept handle with ergonomic
Duckett Paradigm CRW reels are available in 6.8:1, 7.5:1, and 8.3:1 retrieve
ratios and the reel weighs in at a very reasonable 6.9ounces. Unlike most of the
tackle being introduced this ICAST the Paradigm CRW is a true "hard launch" and
