Bagley Baits Looks To Stay On Top (water)
With the recent acquisition
of their company by Northland Tackle, we weren't quite sure what to expect from
Bagley Baits at this year's ICAST. From the looks of things, it's business as
usual as the balsa bait manufacturer presented us with two topwater balsa baits
to keep an eye on for the coming year.
Balsa Wake 1
Balsa Wake 1 :
Wake baits are a popular post-spawn topwater option and crankbaits with this built in action are super fun to fish because you can do so on standard gear. Bagley Baits's Wake 1 Wake bait is built with the company's exclusive Heat Compression Molding process to increase durability of their balsa wood baits. The Wake 1 also features a wire-thru design for added strength and stability. Precise internal weighting to enhance casting and performance and consistency once you begin your retrieve also help set this bait apart. Bagley's Balsa Wake 1 measures two and a quarter inches in length, weighs five sixteenths of an ounce (5/16oz) and will retail for $9.99 per bait.
Introducing the Sunny B Twin Spin
Sunny B Twin Spin : There are prop baits and then there's Bagley's new Sunny B Twin Spin built with a crankbait profile and a rear and front propeller. This unique design results in a bait that delivers the expected noise, commotion, and bubble trail of a prop bait, but also one that rolls and shimmies like a wake bait making sure to anger an annoy any top level predator into striking.
Retail is set for $9.99 on this bait
Bagley's Sunny B Twin Spin splashes and shakes to emulate a variety of shallow water prey from wounded minnows to insects, small birds, or rodents that have fallen into the water. The bait measures three inches in length an weighs half an ounce (1/2oz). It will be offered in eight (8) different colors and retail for $9.99.
