Introduction: Allen Borden, former Strike King Lure Designer and creator of the King Shad has been busy adding new hard and soft bodied baits to his own company's lineup. ABT Lures has a vision to create lures that not only catch fish but are made available to anglers at very reasonable prices.

ABT introduces the new Multi Minnow swimbait which is designed for umbrella rigs

Multi Minnows: Earlier this year ABT released a configurable umbrella rig called the "Multi-Rig." This season the company will introduce new swimbaits which were inspired by Allen's famous "Wag Tail" which incorporate a box-tail design for subtle swimming action. These swimbaits are ideal for umbrella rigs. They are designed to be very durable and are available in three sizes and multiple colors. They will come six to a pack and retail for $8.49.

ABT makes it easy to fish Multi-Rigs with a complete kit

Multi Rig Kit: ABT also will be making it easier than ever to fish umbrella rigs with an entire kit which includes the company's configurable wire rig. five matching Multi-Minnows which match the head on the umbrella rig, and five tiered multi-jig heads. One of the swimbaits is missing a head because it plugs in directly into the umbrella rig's head for a seamless transition. This entire rig kit will retail for $22.99.

The X2 Mini Crankbait is designed to cover water quickly in the search for fish

X2 Mini Series Crankbaits: At the show ABT also unveiled a number of new crankbaits at the show including the new X2 Mini Series which features a 2" body that is armed with #4 VMC hooks and weighs in at 7/16oz. and is designed to get down quickly thanks to a long lip and weighted rattle chamber. The X2 Mini will be available in a range of realistic patterns and will retail for $8.79 each.

In addition to the X2 Mini the company also introduced the Countdown Series crankbaits which are capable of diving 22+ feet down, and the X2 Square Bill crankbait which dives down to 5 feet and is designed to deflect off both grass and heavy cover.

ABT rods?

X2 Long Distance Series (LDS) Custom Rods: In a surprising turn ABT got into the rod business this year with the introduction of a new series featuring micro concept guides in a spiral layout, thus "micro-spiral" design.

That's right the company is getting into the rod business with custom "Micro-Spiral" rods

These rods are made in the USA and make use of ALPS components and graphite or E-glass blanks. The company will be releasing a special rod purposely designed for fishing the company's rigs or heavy swimbaits, built on a 43 Modulus RX7 graphite blank. All of these new rods will retail for $169.99-$199.99 dollars depending on rod model and come backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. From lures to rods ABT continues to expand their line with products that are differentiated both in design and exceptional value.
