Lew's Updates Existing Favorites and Introduces New Super Duty Baitcasters (continued)

Mach 1 SLP: The Mach 1 has been re-launched for 2019 and is one of the most visibly recognizable reels in the Lew's lineup thanks to the white SLP graphite frame and machine forged and double anodized green spool and matching components. This reel weighs in at only 7.3 ounces and will be available in a brisk 7.5"1 retrieve in both right and left handed versions.

The Mach 1 is instantly recognizable and features solid brass gears and a graphite frame to bring down weight

The Mach 1 features the company's reliable externally adjustable Multi-Setting Brake (MSB) dual cast control system utilizing both an external click-dial for setting the magnetic brake and four individually dis-engagable disk-mounted internal brake shoes that operate on centrifugal force. The handle on this reel is 95mm in length and is also fitted with Combat Style grip paddle knobs. Perhaps best of all is the Mach 1's aggressive price of only $119.99.

Super Duty 300: In the Lew's family of reels some of the biggest and baddest are the Super Duty lineup. These reels are designed with toughness in mind, but not at the expense of refinement and castability. Every reel in the Super Duty lineup features an aluminum frame and aluminum handle sideplate for better strength and torque when setting the hook and fighting fish, and the internals of these reels are solid brass, all cut on precision Hamai CNC gear hobbing machines for smoothness and durability.

Need more capacity or a reel capable of tackling heavy freshwater and even saltwater applications? Lew's offers the

The newest reel in the lineup is the SuperDuty 300, a high capacity powerhouse designed for handling big fish and big baits. A rugged carbon fiber drag delivers up to 24lbs. of power to put the hurt on fish, and cranking is done via a 100mm aluminum reel handle with Winn Dri-Tac knobs or a counter balanced handle fitted with an ergonomic handle knob.

The SuperDuty comes with two handle options

These reels boast a high capacity (14/190) and weigh in at only 9.2oz., which is very respectable for a power reel capable of handling inshore and even salt applications. The Super Duty reels are so tough that they are saltwater rated and come with three drain ports and even a line out drag alarm.

Though the Super Duty has the capacity and power to handle big baits and big fish it features a compact and sleek form factor

The Super Duty 300 reels felt very comfortable to palm, and are much more compact than they appear in pictures. There will be 6.5:1 and 7.2:1 versions, and all reels will retail for $199.99.

Terry Pedersen, VP of Sales at Lew's, shows us the complete range of Lew's baitcasters

Lew's continues to be one of the fastest growing brands when it comes to baitcasters and with good reason. With each season the company continues to introduce new offerings and refine existing lines. From the workhorse that is the Speed Spool LFS to the sexy Team Lew's Pro-Ti SLP baitcaster Lew's has a reel for every price point in their line, covering the complete range of applications. So many choices, but me personally.... I'm going purple.
