Strike King Strengthens Their Rule (continued)

KVD Popping Perch : From frogs, to rats, to shad, to now perch, the top water hollow bellied bait is a favorite amongst anglers for its weedless design and the ease by which you can tuck it into tight spaces with the right cast or pitch. The new KVD Popping Perch is a 5.5" overall length bait weighing half an ounce with a big fish tail. It has a concave mouth (hence "Popping" in the name) and the traditional dual prong frog hook. The bait is available now in 14 different colors at TackleWarehouse for $8.49.

Hack Attack FC Flipping Jig : Designed for better hook penetration with fluorocarbon lines, the new Strike King Hack Attack Fluorocarbon Flipping Jig offers a slight smaller profile jig for stealthier presentations. The jig features a pointed head with a corkscrew wire bait keeper, 60-strand silicon skirt, and the typical weedless hook protector. The jig will be available in up to 12 colors in three different sizes (3/8, 1/2, & 3/4 oz). Retail price is set for $4.49 per jig and it is available for pre-order at TackleWarehouse.

It's compact for a more subtle presentation.

The bait keeper along the shank of the hook is a twisted wire holder.

J-Lee has a new "Comeback" Jig.

J-Lee Comeback Standup Football Jig : From a small compact jig to a giant standup jig, Stike King's new J-Lee Comeback Standup Football Jig is a mop style jig built around a 5/0, round bend, Mustad Needlepoint Hook. It's a football head jig with a flat underside to help it stand up on a tight line. There will be 6 colors all made with living rubber for slow, pulsating action. It will be made in four sizes - 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1oz. Availability is set for the fall with preorders being accepted now at TackleWarehouse. MSRP is set at $4.99.

Special thanks to Cody Meyers for showing us what's new and exciting with Strike King.

Conclusion: As if we didn't already have enough new bait products we wanted to check out more closely before entering the Strike King booth and now that list is getting a bit overwhelming. New frog style baits and squarebills seem to be the theme for this year's bait manufacturers. Throw in a couple of staples like new jigs from Strike King and it looks like it will be a very busy remainder of the year for us here at TackleTour. Special thanks to the always accommodating Cody Meyer for showing us around the new and exciting product at Strike King.
