G-Rods Looks to Change the Game with Their New Mid-Tier Bass Rods!

Introduction:
Perhaps no company made a bigger splash with us at last year's ICAST thank G-Rods International, so we were anxious to see what this relatively new manufacturer had in store for ICAST 2016.

G-Rods is hoping to change the game with their new, mid-tier market rod series, Game Changer.

Same, refined styling as their pro-bass.

Game Changer: Companies that enter the market at the top end always catch our attention, but in reality, where companies make their mark is with the introduction of a more value based series of rods to gain a broader audience. G-Rods International quickly recognized this last year and this year, they vowed to change the game with their $189 - $249 series of rods, Game Changer.

Just slightly different grip coloration.

Same blank technology.

These sticks feature the same graphene and high modulus graphite tech in their blanks only with downgraded components and a limited sku of eight (8) rods in the series to touch on the most popular of actions and techniques needed by today's bass angler - cranking, finesse, worm and jig, all purpose, etc..

Different line of components.

Pro Bass: By all accounts, the company's original, Pro Bass series has been a big success so G-Rods extended the lineup a little to fill a couple of voids. New for this year is a 7'-11" magnum cranking stick, a 7'-3" heavy cover jig, worm, and frog rod, and a 6'-9" finesse casting rod for drop shotting and the popular spy baits.

Pro Bass gets three new rods.

FLW Pro, Todd Auten shows us why he's excited about G-Rods International.

Conclusion: We're still busy fishing and testing the original Pro Bass series of sticks from G-Rods and now have a list of the more affordable Game Changer sticks we want to try. I think Wolbugger said something about wanting to sample their fly rods too for Demystifly.com. It's rare that one manufacturer can garner this much attention from us, but so far, from what we've seen, the attention has been warranted.
