Introduction:
Thomas & Thomas, or as people affectionately call “T&T”, is well-known for producing some of the finest-crafted rods around. Having never met up with the folks at T&T, we were anxious to meet them and see what they had in store for IFTD 2015. Let's take a peek at their latest offerings!

Like all Thomas & Thomas rods, Spire rods feature some of the cleanest cork you'll find anywhere.

Spire: The all-new Spire fly rods sport rapid-dampening fast actions to cover a variety of conditions and techniques. Each rod is finished in the classic T&T blue color scheme and is available with either a full wells or western-style grip. Other notable features include milled aluminum gunmetal reel seats with burled black ash spacers, Fuji stripping guides, and Snake-brand guides. Spire rods come in 19 different models spanning from a 7-foot-6-inch three weight up to a 10-foot eight weight. All rods are four piece and are priced at $785–$825.

Spire Rods sport blue and silver accents.

DNA TroutSpey rods are high-end offerings for those trout anglers looking for the best.

DNA TroutSpey: These new rods in the DNA lineup are designed for those that love to chase trout with light two-handed rods. Sporting easy-loading progressive actions, TroutSpey rods carry the T&T blue color scheme, long cork grips, down-locking reel seats with wood inserts, Fuji stripping guides, and Snake-brand guides. All rods are four piece and include 11-foot-6-inch three and four weights, as well as an 11-foot-9-inch five weight. These three rods carry a price of $925 each.

The DNA TroutSpey three-weight seems like a real blast to fish!

Aeros: Another new series, Aeros rods have a medium+ action for situations requiring a delicate presentation. Finished in a moss green color, each rod is adorned with a western-style grip, aluminum up-locking reel seat with spelted maple spacer, Fuji stripping guides, and Snake-brand guides. Nine rods comprise the series ranging from an 8-foot three weight to a 9-foot five weight. Each rod is four pieces and carries a $795 price tag.

Aeros rods are good for when added finesse is needed.

Bluewater rods are built for big-water slugfests.

Bluewater: Fly anglers targeting tuna, sharks, and billfish will find this series of interest! Made up of an 8-foot-6-inch 13 weight ($950) and an 8-foot-6-inch 14–16 weight ($980), these rods contain the power to throw big flies and pull on big fish. Both rods are two piece and wear the classic T&T blue color along with a long fighting grip and blue aluminum reel seat.

Thanks to John Carpenter for educating us on the latest from T&T!

Conclusion: In addition to these new releases, the saltwater-oriented Solar rods see reel seats change from black to silver along with a new Fuji guide set. Those anglers desiring any of these new rods won't have to wait long, as they are expected to hit the market October 1st. We here at TackleTour want one!
