Introduction:
We were fortunate to fish Sunline's big announcement this year prior to its release and were able to bring you an exclusive, full blown review of their brand new Assassin FC P-Ion infused fluorocarbon back in May. So we were left wondering if there was anything new to report on from the Sunline booth this year. We're happy to report there are a couple tidbits of new information including a new for North America fishing line to talk about.

New, larger, 600 yard spools of line from Sunline including Sniper...

... FX2 Flipping line (green only) ...

Bulk Spools : If you, like us, prefer to change your line often or if you simply have so many reels to fill that the individual filler spool sizes just become cumbersome, you'll be happy to know Sunline is beginning to offer bulk, 600 yard spools in some of their more popular lines. This includes: SX1 & FX2 braided lines, Reaction FC, and FC Sniper. Costs of course vary depending on the line, but this is a great way to save yourself from all those leftover packages of filler spool line laying around.

... and SX1 Braid (green and limited hi-vis yellow).

Sunline's first P-Ion line will now be available in the US too.

Fine Float II : In our review of the new, Assassin FC P-Ion line, we mentioned in passing, that Sunline had already debuted the technology in a floating nylon monofilament available only in Japan. Well, that line, Fine Float II, will now also be available in North America!. Sold in spools of 165yds, Fine Float II will be available in line sizes from six (6) through twenty five (25) pounds for $20.99 a spool.

Fine Float II is a specialty topwater line.

Thanks to Mike McClelland for showing us what's new and exciting with Sunline!

Conclusion: There wasn't a lot to cover at the Sunline booth, but there was certainly more than we expected. The move to bulk spools is a welcome one and the new Fine Float II fishing line looks awfully intriguing. Thanks to Mike McClelland for showing us what's new and exciting with Sunline!
