Introduction:
Savage Gear brought their A-Game to ICAST once again and introduced a plethora of new baits. There were high expectations after last year's win in the soft bait category with the 3D Crab and they met that challenge head on with a back to back to win!

The Savage Gear hard Shrimp blends a hard body with TPE appendages

The Hard Shrimp: Two years ago Savage gear introduced the TPE Shrimp which has become a popular bait among freshwater and inshore anglers. Cranking things up a notch farther the company introduced the TPE Hard Shrimp which is basically a hybrid. The bait is hard bodied but features TPE antenna and legs blending lifelike appendage action with an even more realistic and durable body design.

Once hooked the treble hook disengages from the magnet and swings freely

The Hard Shrimp comes pre-rigged with a treble hook that is held in place with a magnet and helps keep the lure tight for shallow water presentations. This bait is ideal for long casting and shallow water fishing. Each bait is 4" in length and weighs in at 3/5 ounces. The new Hard Shrimp will be available in a range of colors to help anglers match the hatch and will retail for $10.99 each. This bait wowed buyers and media at ICAST and took home the Best of Show in the Hard Lure category, proving Savage Gear's previous years win was certainly not a fluke.

A great new bait for river anglers, the new 3D Mayfly

3D Mayfly Nymph: When it comes to TPE based baits Savage Gear has proven they can make this highly durable yet flexible material extremely detailed as well, and the company has now 3D scanned actual mayfly nymphs to create their newest offering.

Small but durable thanks to the TPE construction which makes the lure strong yet flexible

The 3 Mayfly Nymph has the profile of a mayfly and incorporates a segmented tail section for lifelike kicking action. The legs, tail and antennae all move on the pause and fall and each bait is armed with a pre-rigged internal jig head and a durable single hook. The 3D Mayfly Nymph is 2" in length and will retail for $4.29 each.

The TPE Soft Vibe is a silent soft bodied option for fans of lipless cranks

TPE Soft Vibe: Why stop at shrimps and nymphs? Savage Gear employs the same durable TPE  material to create a lipless crankbait that looks and feels more like a real fish. This silent bait is designed to fish the entire water column and is designed to be effective in clear water and tough conditions. In the test tank at the show we witnesses how the lure delivered a frantic action when paused. The new TPE Soft Vibe will be available in two sizes, 2" and 2 1/2" and retail for $6.99 and $7.99 respectively.

The Mud Minnow is a topwater bait that can be fished in inches of water

TPE Soft Mud Minnow: Designed for skinny water fishing the TPE Mud Minnow is a weedless topwater lure that can literally be fished anywhere. The bait is rigged weedless and floats on the surface so it can be retrieved with a walk-the-dog action. A flash tail helps add to an already realistic looking body profile and the bait will be available in a number of baitfish imitating patterns. Each bait is 3 1/2" in length and will retail for $9.99 each.

Notice the rear hook placement on the Panic Prey? this bait is designed with features like this that enable it to cast further

Panic Prey: For those anglers looking to go big Savage Gear is rolling out the new Panic Prey hard bodied walking bait. This lure features a rear hook hanger that is elevated on the bait so that the hook will fold over the top of the bait for straighter casts. The result is an ultra long casting bait that is designed to cover a lot of water while a specially designed sound chamber entices fish in for a closer look. Each Panic prey bait weighs in at 1oz. and is 5 1/4" inches in length and will retail for a great price of only $10.99.

Savage Gear continues their rise and is propelled with a desire to never stop innovating, leveraging advanced materials, and utilizing real 3D scans to deliver ultra realistic baits that not only look great, but are also very fun to fish. With two big wins under their belt you can bet this will be another "savage" season!
