Introduction:
Every year at ICAST we bear witness to new gadgets designed to improve how we fish, and for the most part these inventions are overly complex or just plain irrelevant. The Robocup portable fishing caddy on the other hand stands apart, and presents anglers with a genuinely simple yet effective drink/rodholder combo.

The Robocup is designed to hold your gear securely within arms reach

The RoboCup is an invention by AJ Zakarian, is utility patented portable caddy that is designed to securely holds either two drinks, rods, poles, tools, gear, or even personal belongings including smartphones and more. While many other cupholder/storage type devices require some sort of clamp on installation to be secure the Robocup requires no tools and installation takes only a second.

The Robocup can accommodate much more than just a cold drink, including fishing rods or pliers

With no tools required, this innovative holder instantly clamps to both round and flat surfaces up to nearly 2” maximum. This clampable tote was designed with the angler in mind and mounts perfectly on seat posts on a variety of watercraft, but is certainly not limited to just fishing applications… basically if you have a 2” thick surface you can bolt on Robocup.

No tools required, as the device simply clamps on securely with two heavy duty springs

Examples of other applications include golf carts, beach umbrellas, tailgating, hunting, hunting blinds, job site equipment, offices, garages, mobility aid, strollers, and much more.

Robocup can go anywhere, the applications really are pretty endless

The Robocup features two powerful wide rubberized jaws that utilize strong stainless steel springs and hardware for rust prevention. The RoboCup felt solid at the show but still light in overall weight and adds less than a pound.

Examples of all the different Robocup colors

It is constructed out of a poly-resin material that has UV-inhibitors added for longevity against the elements and comes in a wide variety of colors to match you boat or whatever you wish to clamp it on to.

In the center is a new grip that turns the Robocup into a quad tool/drink carrier

The bottom caps unscrew to accommodate long objects including two fishing poles, gaffs, or nets for example. The included two strap accessories can be configured in various configurations to hold your gear or to reduce the inner diameter for smaller sized drinks. For maximum clamping capability, the RoboCup can even be locked using a 4” plastic cable-tie in the small opening in the jaws.

Have Robocup will travel

As an added bonus the Robocup will soon introduce an accessory grip that can be used to clamp on two Robocups, effectively converting the device into a portable fishing rod/tool holder or combination fishing tool and drink holder. This implementation is ideal for anglers moving gear from their car to set up their fishing location, for example pier fishing or bait fishing on the side of a lake.

The Team at Robocup show us the cleverly designed product

The Robocup is available now from Amazon.com for the retail price of $19.99 each and comes in six colors (black, white, gray, pink, navy and olive). This simple, yet ingenious device, can be used in so many different applications and is definitely worth a look for anglers that want to stow a cold one or a fishing tool within arm’s reach at all times.
