Introduction: Looking for fish? There is an App for that! The iBobber is a castable fish finder that syncs with your smartphone or tablet to deliver quality imaging wherever your angling adventures take you.

The iBobber is a portable castable fishfinder

The iBobber blends both hardware and software together into a complete fish finding solution on the go. The actual iBobber device uses sonar to locate fish up to 135 feet and is paired with an intuitive app that enables anglers to GPS tag hotspots, measure water temperatures, and even map underwater contours.

The iBobber can connect to tablets, smart phones and even smart watches

Each iBobber comes with the fishfinder/bobber, a USB powered charging cradle and access to the app for either iOS or Android devices. The actual connection between the iBobber and your device is via bluetooth and using it is as easy as casting the bobber out and powering on the app. The iBobber powers on automatically upon contact with the water and for fishing in low light conditions even has an led for easier tracking on the surface.

Yes, it actually can function as a bobber

As you might expect this solution can also do more than just find fish and anglers can save details of their fishing trips with the logging feature or even share details over social media. The software also includes useful data including a lunar calendar and weather sync.

The iBobber is an innovative easy to use portable fish finder that can be used in a wide variety of applications

The iBobber is available now and retails for $99.99 per unit, though we were able to find it from e-tailers for around $89.99. We have seen portable fish finders before but one thing that makes the iBobber so attractive is the ease of use. Both the device itself and the bundled app seem quite intuitive and because the software comes in the form of a downloaded app it is likely we will only see continued upgrades and refinement down the road.
