Introduction:
Halco continues to be a leading provider of lures for top of the food chain species. The Australian lure company had a busy year, moving into a larger custom built new head office and warehousing facility, their third move in 64 years. One of the big benefits of the move to the new facility is that it is located only 100 meters away from the saltwater. Lure testing has never been easier!

Halco's newest creation is the Laser Pro 140

Laser Pro 140: One of the new lures that has come out of team Halco is the new Laser Pro 140, a fast and strong bait that can get down to 2.5 meters when it is trolled at 1 to 7 knots. The bait can be fished a variety of ways to target Yellowtail, Tuna, Bluefish, and Snook, including casting and trolling.

The Laser pro 140 can be casted or trolled for Yellowtail, Tuna, and Snook

The Laserpro is 140mm in length, weighs 24 grams and comes in a ton of patterns ranging from transparent to foil finishes that are designed to generate a lot of flash when retrieved. For more subtle applications new patterns like Toffee Apple (a yellow red head finish) and Midnight Blue are available. The Laser Pro is just becoming available now for $13.50 USD each.

A prototype of the Max 190, a heavy bait that can be trolled up to 12 knots!

Max 190: Halco has also been working on another new bait called the Max 190 that is designed to set a new standard in trolling speeds and is designed to get fast moving species like Wahoo to give chase.

The Max 190 will get down to 2M and can be retrieved 2-12 knots effectively. It is able to achieve this depth without a lip because it weighs in at 155 grams each. It comes armed with #7/0 inline single hooks versus trebles and while designed for trolling can also be casted or even jigged. At the show we saw a prototype of the new Max 190 and it looks ready for primetime, and will be officially available by the year's end.
