Denali Rods's New Lithium and Bottom Feeder Series

Introduction: Two years ago at ICAST 2013, Denali introduced us to their stealth looking Kovert series of rods - a new, budget minded series with contemporary stylings. This year, Denali cranked things up a bit introducing their new Lithium series of rods priced from $179 - $199. Let's take a look!

Lithium comes in as the companies new sub $200 rod line.

Denali Lithium : Denali's new Lithium series of rods are built on a new, Interloc blank covered in a wove, silver-graphite pattern over the first third of the rod. The grips are made from a mix of cork and EVA - mostly cork behind the reel seat and then EVA on the buttcap.

... while the butts are EVA foam.

There are 16 models in all, 3 spinning and 13 casting, with technique specific designs to cover everything from finesse fishing to cranks and spinnerbaits, to flipping, worm & jig, frogging and so on.

Denali's Bottom Feeder sticks are built for those targeting giant catfish.

Bottom Feeder : Also new this year from Denali is a series of rods built specifically for catfish. Built for performance and durability, the three spinning and three casting rods (for a total of 6 rods in the series) range from 7'-6" to 8'-0" in length and retail for just $69. They are built with EVA split rear grips and feature guides with no inserts so you don't have to worry about popping them out when battling those giant, hard pulling cats.

The handles are all split and made of EVA foam.

Reel seats are all very stout.

And the guides are no-nonsense guides with no inserts to pop out and ruin your day of fishing.
