Introduction:
The Reins Ax Craw has been a quiet favorite of the TT crew for a couple of years. It was supposed to be featured during our 2012 Creature Fever season, but somehow, I've yet to finish our review on this bait! Reins' entire line of products are of course inspired by sizes, profiles, and actions that are effective in Japan's highly pressured waters and for this coming year, they have two new offerings to share with us.

The Craw Tube is a 4" lure designed for flipping and pitching.

Reins Craw Tube: The Craw Tube from Reins is a four inch (4") lure designed for flipping and pitching situations, but because it is a tube and a craw at the same time, it promises to be a very versatile bait! The bait is scent infused and can be fished with hooks up to 5/0 in size. It features a flat side to increase gliding motion, and because it's a tube and not a solid bait, hook up ratios should be better since there's no excess plastic for your hook to fight through. The bait is available now in eight different colors and can be found at TackleWarehouse for $6.29 per six pack.

This bait is right in the spirit of Creature Fever!

Punchin' Predator: Those looking for punch bait alternatives will be excited about Rein's new Punchin' Predator, a four inch (4") flipping style bait designed to be fished in tight, compact areas. This bait has been engineered to mitigate against deficiencies in other punch style baits such as excessive snags from too thin of a mid section or deformed pinchers causing your bait to spin. Pitch and flip it around cover in a traditional Texas rig or put it on a jighead in clear water situations.

The new Punchin' Predator gives punching and flipping enthusiasts a new, slimmer profile bait option.

The Punchin Predator features the same scent infused plastic as other Reins products and can be fished on hooks up to 5/0 in size. They are available now at in eight different colors and can be found at TackleWarehouse for $5.29 per 6 pack.

These baits are already available!

Also new from Reins is this Tungsten sliding football weight!

Conclusion: Reins extends their lineup to include baits not just for finesse techniques, but for more traditional, power fishing applications as well. We look forward to checking out these new soft plastics from Reins and maybe now I can get going on his review of the Ax Craw!
