LYNX Compression Technology makes knots obsolete

Introduction:
There's little doubt in the mind of any angler that the knot is the single weakest link between you and the fish. While the physical line may test at a certain poundage, your knot is the biggest factor determining the true breakage strength of the entire connection. LYNX unveiled a new technology at ICAST that actually eliminates the need to even tie a knot!

LYNX tubes are made out of ultra-tough 316 stainless alloy.

LYNX Compression Technology: England-based LYNX is a research and development company that has spent two years developing a unique system that eliminates the need for knots when using mono or fluorocarbon. Their patented Precision System provides 100% joint strength with 100% consistency and doesn't damage or alter the integrity of the line in any way.

The small stainless alloy tubes are applied with a special easy-to-use hand tool that gives a perfect compress every time and works for at least 25,000 cycles. In addition to the tubes, there will also be a Helix Technology connector available for use when attaching braid to various other materials like wire, nylon, fluorocarbon, or titanium. This system will not need to be applied with a tool.

A broad spectrum of hooks and attachments are available.

There are a multitude of different options available within the LYNX system. Special lure detaches, swivels, and prepackaged rigs are just some of the items available. You'll also find a variety of tube sizes to accommodate different applications and line diameters, as well as varying hook sizes and styles for everything from live baiting to Texas-rigging weedless soft plastics.

Precision-made lines and wires will also be released.

Conclusion: Douglas Outdoors has partnered with LYNX as their exclusive North American distributor. Expect availability to begin sometime around mid-September. The tool will be sold alone for $99.00, or as part of a kit for $129.99. Sleeves, hooks, rigs, and other accessories may all be purchased separately.
