Introduction: With all the hubbub about Jackall and Shimano's Adrena rods we had to take a pause and remember that first and foremost Jackall is a lure company. This ICAST the team at Jackall introduced a number of new hard and softbaits including the crazy looking Scissor Comb creature.

Yet another fresh plastic design from the team at Jackall, meet the Scissor Comb creature bait

Scissor Comb: Jackall's Scissor Comb is a new creature bait which is 6 inches in length and features compact bottleneck profile which helps it swim while the 4 attached legs (4 on each side) are attached backwards so they put out a lot of vibration in the water when retrieved at any speed. There are a lot of ribs in the center part of the body and at the end are twin long tails that swim in parallel.

Pro Anglers Cody Meyer and Jared Lintner highlight the applications of the new Jackall lures

The bait is constructed out of high density plastic so even though some of the appendages are thin they will not easily rip when fish strike. The Scissor Comb is also loaded with shrimp scent which is designed to keep fish holding on longer. The

Part worm part lizard and part craw, the Scissor Comb is designed to be rigged and fished a variety of ways

The Scissor Comb can be fished a variety of ways, and while most anglers will likely Texas Rig the bait it can also be fished weightless, on a Carolina rig, Neko rig or even Drop Shot. The Scissor Comb will come five to a pack and retail for $4.99.

Notice how the paddles point backwards

Pompadour: If your a topwater fanatic this might just be the most exciting lure in the show for you. Featuring Jackall’s "magnetic center of gravity’ system," the new Pompadour topwater lure is designed with metal wings so it produces action, and noise, with either a slow or fast retrieve.

The Jackall Pompadour features so many elements to create splash and noise on the surface

Both the rear hook and prop create noise and splash, while the large 3-inch body size pushed through the water. A 3/4-ounce lure, the Pompadour is offered in six colors and will retail for $22.99 each.

A free swinging rear hook is designed to help keep fish pinned

Binksy: Also very exciting from Jackall is the Binksy topwater lure. It may have a cute name but this feature rich take on a popper and a prop bait takes things to the next level with a blade that comes in contact with the hook creating even more flash and disturbance on the surface.

The Binksy puts out pop and flash

Designed to create both big noise and a big splash, the Jackall Binksy is a shallow cup topwater popper with an attached blade and rear prop for even more noise and fish-attracting triggers. Offered in six colors, the 2-3/4 inch lure features a hidden feathered hook that can serve as bite indicator. This lure will retail for a reasonable price of $14.99 per bait.

The DowZvido is designed to suspend and create a high pitch rolling action during retrieves

DowZvido: Dows-what? This funny named bait shares features with other previous generation Jackall ripbaits but is designed to put out a different action. With a extra long bill that dives down to 7-feet, the 3/8-ounce Jackall DowZvido is 3.4-inch suspending lure that creates high pitch rolling action during the retrieve. Jackall’s weight transfer system helps with long casts. Pro Angler Jared Lintner has been fishing this bait with great success already and it will be available in eight colors and retail for $14.99 each.

Ariel Bailey, Manager at Jackall Lures, show us the latest from the company

All of these exciting Jackall baits will be available in about a month. When it comes to topwater baits we cannot wait to see what the Pompadour is going to do on our local home water and Cal already has plans to see if he can really stress one to the point of destruction in the Amazon this October.
