Falcon Rods Supertunes the Cara and the Lowrider Celebrates 20 Years

Location: Orlando, FL

Manufacturer: Falcon

Introduction: Falcon has been building quality rods for decades and this year they celebrated a major milestone, the 20 year anniversary of their popular LowRider Series. The first LowRider back in 1995 transformed high performance bass fishing with the first low profile guide system. This year the company had plenty to talk about as they gave the venerable series a major update.

The new LowRider 20 Series features a whole new blank and look

LowRider: Dubbed the LowRider 20 these new rods feature a lighter more sensitive blank, ergonomic grips and an even lighter guide system. The new rods are designed to be lighter, more sensitive and deliver even more accurate casts.

The LowRider 20 rods will come in 19 application specific models and three of them reside in Pro Angler Cliff Crochet's "Cajun Baby" Signature Series.

The Cajun Baby rods include a fast cranker designed for fishing cranks and light lures, a pitchin' stick designed for frogs, jigs, worms and pitching and a flippin' stick designed for Carolina rigs, swimbaits, big worms and good old fashioned flipping.

The Cara goes "ST"

Cara ST: The high performance Cara line also gets an update this season and it gets "SuperTuned" with a new aerospace grade carbon material and resin system. The higher modulus blanks are made out of this higher tensile material and is designed to result in a blank that is lighter, stronger and even more responsive.

Pro Angler Mike McClelland has new signature application specific ST rods

The Cara ST rods will come armed with up to 13 Fuji micro guides with low friction lightweight Alconite rings for increased casting distance and lighter weight. All of the Cara rods feature a split grip design with high grade cork handles.

Pro Angler Mike McClelland takes the Cara ST line a step further with four rods designed to his exact specifications for fishing jerkbaits, swim jigs, heavy cover jigs and flipping.

Looking for a great rod for under 100 dollars?

Jason Christie Signature Series: Falcon also recognizes that there is a big market for quality rods at a lower price point, and while the Cara and LowRider rods cater more towards the performance and enthusiast crowd the new Jason Christie Signature Series rods retail for just under 100 dollars each!

Pro Angler Jason Christie's new signature rods are designed to tackle multiple applications

Jason's rods are designed for multiple applications so that anglers can buy one rod and use it for more than just one technique. Though these rods are affordable they certainly do not look it and feature clean styling, split grips made out of EVA and come armed with Fuji micro guides. There will be three casting models and two spinning models to choose from.

Pro Angler Jason Christie knows a thing or two about being flexible, his history making two FLW tournament wins and one B.A.S.S. Elite win in 2013 prove that, so it is no surprise that when asked to create a new series his signature rods are all designed to help anglers adapt to multiple applications in the field.
