The Suicide Shad is effective on all these rigs and more. What's really good about this bait is the plastic Big Bite Baits uses is really very soft and that connection between the body and the tail is super limber. This allows the bait's tail to swim at just about any speed giving the bait very enticing action.
The new, Owner Jig Rig is a very intriguing option.
With this rig, you can mimic a baitfish rooting out the bottom for forage.
Design & Ergonomics: Fortunately, Big Bite Baits packages the Suicide Shad in the afore mentioned clear, hard plastic clamshell to protect those delicate tails from fouling during storage and that clamshell is very easy to open and then re-seal for continued storage of unused baits. Their Suicide Shad is not packaged with any of Big Bite Baits's Bite Juice, so if you want scent on your baits, you have to apply it on your own.
The Suicide Shad is made from very soft plastic.
There are currently only eight (8) available patterns, but each one is painted (yes, painted the patterns are not poured) to mimic common forage fish for predatory fish and are executed very well. The baits also come with lifelike 3D eyes.
Finishes are very well executed.
Price & Applications: Both sizes of the Suicide Shad retail for $5.99 per package and you get four 5.5" baits per package (= ~$1.50 each) and five baits per package of 3.5" baits (= ~$1.20 each) and are now readily available.
There's no denial these baits work.
