The Skirt: The Revenge Flippin' jig features a banded silicone skirt available in one of eighteen different color combinations. The specific band used to keep the skirt in place is called the "Stay-On" skirt keeper by Revenge and is provided in this way to give anglers the option of easily removing the skirt and replacing it with a bare creature bait or tube. This provides flexibility with the bait while still allowing for a quality, out of the package end product.
Revenge uses silicone for the skirt material in their flippin' jigs. This jig flares really well, but lacks the bulk of rubber.
The Hook: Revenge Baits makes use of the stout, Mustad Ultrapoint Black Nickel hook for their baits and varies the size of the hook to match each jig. The one quarter and three eighths ounce sizes are built around a 4/0 hook while the half ounce is built around a 5/0 hook. All jig sizes three quarters of an ounce and above make use of a 6/0 Mustad Ultrapoint.
Each Revenge Jig comes with rattles that are easily removable should you prefer a more silent presentation.
Head & Line Tie: The line ties on all our Revenge Baits jigs were free and clear from any paint. The heads themselves are built to incorporate both the line tie and the skirt in such a way that everything comes together fluidly - it's hard to tell where one component ends and the other begins.
The Revenge Flippin' Jig features a semi-concealed line tie.
Durability: The finishes on the Revenge Flippin' Jigheads are not only intricate, they are highly durable. They lasted through several trips on the California Delta as well as through a few sidewalk torture tests without showing a sign of wear.
