Jackall takes aim at Spybaiting with the iProp 75

Date: 2/22/14
Tackle Type: Lures
Manufacturer: Jackall

Introduction: Jackall is working on a range of new baits leading up to ICAST and this Bassmater Classic the team is introducing a new prop bait created specifically for this ultra-finesse technique. The Jackall iProp is a sinking double propped spybait that is designed to target suspending fish in clear water conditions.

The Jackall iProp is being hard launched at the Bassmaster Classic Expo this weekend

Ariel Biley from Jackall showed us the new iProp 75 baits which measure 3 inches in length and weigh in at only 3/10 ounce. The iProp 75 comes armed with twin bottom hanging treble hooks and the rear hook is specially positioned so it will not interfere with the rotation of the rear prop.

The premise behind dual prop baits like the iProp is that the two props work together to keep the lure horizontal in the strike zone while delivering a combination of turbulence and flash.

The iProp 75 looks like a well built bait, definitely something you would expect from Jackall. There will be seven colors available, which consist of – wakasagi, bluegill, chartreuse back glitter, ghost minnow, threadfin shad, oikawa and secret shad. Jackall recommends fishing the iProp ‘spybait’ lures with the Poison Adrena PA266L and PA266ML spinning rods, as well as the Shimano Expride EX264ML and EX266L spinning rods.

The Spybait market has continued to heat up and popular offerings like the Spinbait 80 from DUO are going to face increasing competition from other hardbait manufacturers moving forward. The iProp 75 looks like a premium contender and each bait will be available shortly from retailers for $14.99 each.
