Introduction: This ICAST SPRO teamed up once again with KGB to expand
their line of swimbait gear, unveiling a trio of new products designed
specifically for big bait anglers. From a cleverly designed KGB multi-rig to a
downsized glide and a purpose-built reel, this year's releases continue SPRO's
push into the swimbait segment.

Three KGB Chad Shads in one, meet
the new K-Rig
SPRO KGB K-Rig -Triple Threat: With the thought process that if one
baitfish looks good, a small pod looks even better enter the SPRO KGB K-Rig, a
unique big bait featuring three KGB Swimbaits swimming in perfect unison. The
setup mimics a tight bait ball, designed to trigger aggressive feeding responses
from big bass on the hunt to pick apart a school.

There are some new flashy patterns
available in traditional SPRO x KGB Chad Shads...
The K-Rig was probably the craziest, yet coolest, looking swimbait at the show.
SPRO didn't just slap three baits on a rig and call it done - this unique setup
gives anglers a brand new profile and presentation while preserving the proven
action and lifelike swim that KGB swimbaits are known for. Each K-Rig is dressed
in one of SPRO's three top-producing color patterns and comes armed with two
size 1 Gamakatsu Nano Alpha-coated trebles. Each K-Rig will retail for $129 and
be available later this season.

... as well as in the new K-Rig
SPRO KGB Lil Guy - Big Moves, Small Package: When a cold front rolls in
or fishing pressure pushes fish deep into negative moods, swimbait fans often
reach for something just a little more subtle to drive the bite. SPRO's new KGB
Lil Guy is designed to answer that call. This downsized 120mm version draws
inspiration from the proven KGB Chad Shad 180 but compresses the profile into a
more finesse-friendly package.

Immediately recognizable, just
smaller, the SPRO x KGB Lil Guy is a more finesse oriented glide
This bite-sized glide bait retains everything anglers love about the bigger
version: a two-segment jointed body for that signature, smooth side to side
glide, a brush tail, and swivel hook hangers to help anglers keep fish pinned.
It's designed to match the hatch when bass key in on smaller forage or when
conditions demand a stealthier presentation. The Spro x KGB Lil Guy will retail
for $54.99 and will be available in a number of popular baitfish patterns.

SPRO KGB 300 Elite MG: A Reel for the Dedicated: Rounding out the new
launches is SPRO's first serious swing at a dedicated swimbait reel: the KGB 300
Elite MG. This purpose-built baitcaster is designed to pair with heavier line
while still delivering the feel and casting performance that big-bait anglers
demand for launching their glides and wakes.

SPRO and KGB launch a new reel for
big bait anglers

The Elite 300 features a magnesium
frame
In a surprise move The SPRO KGB 300 reel is built around a lightweight magnesium
frame, versus aluminum, to help the reel balance out with swimbait rods and keep
fatigue at bay during long sessions, while still providing the balance and
sensitivity needed to feel subtle swimbait bites. The final weight of the reel
has not yet been announced but considering the size of the reel it felt light in
hand.

The reel will be available in 7.3:1 and 8.1:1 gear ratios

Aluminum oversized handle and star
drag
The new 300 Elite reel also features an externally adjustable cast control
system and the reel also features an oversized handle and large barrel knobs
with a tire style texture for more grip and leverage.
The new SPRO KGB 300 will be available later this season in two gear ratios,
7.3:1 and 8.1:1, and retail for $319.00.

Our Quick Take: SPRO continues to
expand its tackle lineup, and while the brand has long been known for its
traditional hardbaits, it's doubling down this season on the big bait
segment through its ongoing collaboration with KGB. Whether anglers want to
mimic a bait ball, downsize to finesse a stubborn giant, or gear up with a
purpose-built reel, this trio of new products shows that SPRO is serious
about supporting swimbait anglers. I'm especially curious to see how the new
K-Rig fishes and how bass and stripers respond to it in different scenarios.
SPRO's previous reels have been decent, but the surprising use of magnesium
in the new SPRO x KGB 300 big bait reel definitely deserves a closer look.
