Accurate: When it comes to premium saltwater fishing tackle Accurate is one name everyone recognizes. Jason Fulton of Accurate showed us all their latest and greatest products. First of was the Platinum TwinSpin 30 spinning reel. Using their TwinDrag technology they have created a spinning reel with dual drag system that’ll be great for super heavy-duty angling. The Platinum TwinSpin is machined from the same high-grade materials as other Accurate reels. This reel is designed with strength and heat dissipating qualities to manhandle even the most powerful big game fish. Other features include a hefty power handle to maximize leverage, a unique Pre-Set knob on the front of the spool to precisely control drag tension, and a rugged manual bail mechanism for picking up line. The spinning reel has a gear ratio of 6:1 for high-speed retrieves with more than 50 inches of line laid per revolution of the reel’s handle. The overall weight of the SR-30 comes out to 32.5 ounces with a spool capacity of 325 yards of 30 pound test monofilament, or 500 yards of 65 pound of braided line. What we didn’t see at the show was the SR-30L which will be out shortly with a slow and more powerful ratio of 4:1, and a new size 20 for anglers looking for a smaller reel but having the same buff attributes of its 30 sized sibling.

Accurate also showed off their new knobs for the Boss Magnum reels. The Power Knobs are crafted out of solid aluminum and uses 2 ball bearings for a smoother retrieve and bored out for much weight reduction compared to the older knobs. These new knobs are now available as an upgrade and come in many different anodized finishes.
