Terminal tackle and bait storage are no where near as glamorous as rods, reels, baits or even fishing line. They receive a very small percentage of the discussion topics on our forum. Yet these two items are as essential to your day on the water as anything else. No matter where you go, you need a method to carry your baits and no matter what bait you're fishing, but especially soft plastics, you need terminal tackle to complete setup. Gamakatsu recognizes this need and presented a couple options for both at ICAST this year.

What many anglers may not realize is Gamakatsu dove into the realm of utility boxes a few years ago to help anglers organize and carry their loose tackle.

G-Box 3500D Deep Utility Case: Gamakatsu is widely known as a manufacturer of premium grade hooks. What many may not realize is a couple of years ago, the manufacturer dove into the realm of utility boxes for the anglers to organize and carry their loose tackle. This began with boxes designed to carry hooks, but in last year or two, has expanded to carry baits as well. This year, the company is introducing a deep tackle box designed to carry larger, fat-bodied and big lipped baits. The G-Box 3500D measures 10" wide, by 7.4" deep by 2.4" tall, is configurable from one large compartment to up to five smaller compartments. It will retail for $16.99.

The G-Finesse Stinger is finally ready

G-Finesse Stinger Weedless: Are you wacky rig aficionado or make use of the Neko rig but often find yourself frustrated over the lack of weedless hooks available for this rigging technique?

Through the clamoring of pros like Brent Ehrler, Gamakatsu has responded with their brand new G Finesse Stinger Weedless hook built with a titanium wire weed guard and that G-Finesse nano smooth coat applied to a hook built on the company's Tournament Grade Wire.

The G-Finesse Stinger Weedless will be available in sizes 6 through 1/0 and retail for $8.99 per pack.

Gamakatsu is now about more than just hooks and we welcome their expansion into other tackle products. As long as the company maintains their edict for premium quality items, it can only mean more and better options for all of us, and more options so we can all find that product that suits our individual needs is what it's all about.
