John Crews' New Array of Missile Baits

Introduction:
Up until recently, the name "John Crews" was predominately tied to the technique of crankbait fishing. His signature series of cranks baits by Spro including the Little John and Fat John baits are a very popular choice amongst bass anglers all around.

But earlier this year, Crews launched a new venture appropriately named, Missile Baits and following a win by fellow BASS Elite series pro, and Missile Baits pro-staff, Ish Monroe, anglers are now loading up on Crews' new arsenal of baits. We caught up with Crews at ICAST 2012 to check out the entire line.

John Crews shows us the effect Creature Fever has had on his entrepreneurial spirit.

Twin Turbo: The Twin Turbo is designed to be a versatile, twin tail bait with tails tapered to enhance movement at all speeds. The body shape is a bit thinner and longer than traditional grub style baits to allow for better hookups and greater versatility in rigging. All Missile Baits products are priced at $3.99 a pack.

The Twin Turbo is Crews' take on the twin tail grub.

The body is thinner and longer to increase hookup ratios.

D Bomb: The D Bomb is the bait responsible for Ish Monroe's win this year on the BASS Event at Lake Okeechobee. It is a bulk, creature/craw type bait with a ribbed body designed to displace a lot of water during a straight fall. The tails are designed to swim and flap wildly when moved at a quick pace and thanks to the ribs in the body, this bait is actually thinner than it appears and doesn't interfere with hookups.

This is the bait that helped Ish Monroe win at Okeechobee in March, 2012.

It's a creature bait with ribs.
