Summer Buyers Guide Part 1: Hot Tackle for Warm Weather Fishing (continued)

Saltwater Spinning Reel: Of course, what surf rod is complete without an appropriate reel. The advent of braid has allowed surf anglers to go smaller with their choice of reels to match up to their eight to eleven foot (or longer) rods, making it easier to chuck plugs into and over the cresting waves throughout the day. The recent hot buy?

Saltwater Spinning : Daiwa Morethan Branzino.

Believe it or not, an enthusiast reel, Daiwa’s Morethan Branzino 3000. Last we checked, Hi’s Tackle Box in South San Francisco had one or two in the store, but we recommend calling before placing your order to verify stock.

Freshwater Hardbait : Megabass Vision 110 Magnum.

Freshwater Hardbait : If there’s one thing about the original Vision 110 that we here at TT had kind of hoped for, it was that it came or was available at a slightly heavier weight. It’s never been a pressing need because there are other stick baits you can turn to when conditions call for something heavier or even bigger. Lucky Craft’s line up of stickbaits for one, is quite thorough. Then, earlier this year came the announcement of the Vision 110 Magnum. Well, the Summer season may not be ideal for stickbaits, but we’ll be throwing this bait nonetheless in the hopes of finding out more of what it can and cannot do. The new Vision 110 Magnum is available now at Tackle Warehouse.

A closer look at the super sized Vision 110 magnum.

Freshwater Softbait : Big Bite Baits Warmouth.

Freshwater Softbait Lure : Even though bed fishing season is for the most part over during the summer months, this bait is so hot, we could not keep it off our list. It’s the bait Dean Rojas used to win the BASS Battle on the Bayou at Toledo Bend back in April and it is the Big Bite Baits Warmouth. What makes the warmouth unique is that each individual bait features a final finish that is hand painted, not a product of production line machinery. This is why it’s so difficult to get and why it is in short supply, the baits cannot be cranked out like traditional plastics on big production runs. Get them when you see them and stockpile because you’re never sure when a new shipment will arrive! Get the Big Bite Warmouth now at Tackle Warehouse.

Freshwater Topwater : ima's Big Stik..

Freshwater Lure Topwater: Fish quietly and carry ima’s Big Stik for some explosive topwater fun. Our review was just published on this big fish topwater bait and we’re still not done throwing it. If a larger than average topwater bait interests you, check out the Big Stik. Big baits catch larger fish but when that big bait is made for fishing on top, the action can be quite addicting. If your ready to carry a Big Stik in your arsenal check out all the patterns at Tackle Warehouse.
