Event Article: 2005 ICAST Special Coverage

ICAST Coverage Special Report - There's more to the story... (continued)

Sufix: A few years back we accidentally ran into Sufix, a somewhat unknown fishing line company that was introduced to the U.S. market. But not too long after, we began to appreciate their offerings especially after conducting our in-depth field tests of the ProMix (formally named DNA). With high performing lines like the Sufix ProMix, Siege, and Elite, they are now considered one of the top choices and can be found in tackle shops nationwide. The Elite and Siege, introduced not too long ago are two of their top lines aimed at bass anglers. These two lines apply the G2 Precision Winding that yields near-zero memory when it comes off the spool. And with nanotechnology spreading into rods and other fishing products, it is now used in the fabrication process to develop the super-abrasion resistant Siege line. Sufix makes use of the exclusive NanoTech Process that result in a line that’s up to 15X tougher than other brands.

Ice Magic is a great line for ice fishermen but also good for anglers who fish in cold winter months

Ice Magic:
The Sufix Ice Magic line isn’t brand new but it certainly deserves some attention. This line is pretty special in that it’s designed to stay limp and manageable at all water temperatures, even in freezing water. That’s why this line is great for ice fishing anglers or those who fish in the winter months when ice builds up on their line and rod tip. Sufix manufactured the Ice Magic with special additives that deter water absorption, and if it doesn’t hold water the line will never freeze up and become stiff. The Sufix Ice Magic comes in 1 to 12 pound test in 100 yard spools.
