Introduction: Underwater cameras have improved greatly over the last few years due to the advances in optical, processing, and display technology and leading the charge in fishing applications is Aqua-Vu. This ICAST the company introduced a new flagship product, the HD10i PRO is more than just a camera, it is complete HD underwater viewing system.

Aqua-Vu makes underwater cameras that are both big and small

Validation: Why do anglers use underwater cameras? Not necessarily just to find fish or examine the structure but to validate what they believe they are seeing on their finders.

Being able to see what is below you changes the game, and enables you to focus on catching the fish versus wondering if there are fish down there to catch. Add in the possibility of spotting a lunker, or actually seeing a fish take your bait and your talking about a whole different level of excitement.

In the context of competitive angling the Aqua Vu cameras enable pro's to quickly validate fishing spots, and eliminate ones that are not holding the species they are targeting.

On the high performance side of the spectrum the new HD10i PRO is the company's new flagship offering with a 10" HD screen

Going PRO: New for this year is the HD10i PRO, the most advanced underwater camera in the company's history. This new camera features a super bright 10 inch daylight viewable LCD with TouchZoom technology for putting those fish under the microscope and really examining what is happening below.

A sunshield helps make the screen even more viewable in bright light and because it is backlit and has a 3M anti-glare coating it can be viewed with your polarized sunglasses on

The screen on this camera is excellent and provides full color views with the HD 720p camera. There is a super long 125' cable and super low light Vu Technology enables anglers to see the fish even when they are holding deep. For better viewing in bright light the unit comes bundles with a anti-glare screen protector and an adjustable sunshield.

The XD Pole cam Adapter makes cameras pole mountable for even more control

The PRO unit comes with a 12v 9ah battery with an on screen indicator to keep you powered, and the unit can be wired directly into you boat's 12-volt power system for continual usage. A custom storage bag system protects the unit during transport, and for added flexibility the unit is RAM Mount compatible for seamless integration on your boat.

Aqua Vu has an entire lineup of new solutions ranging from pocket units to the new HD PRO Series

One of the coolest new features is the system is compatible with the new XD pole cam adapter so the camera can to be attached to a pole, giving anglers a lot more control. "The new XD Pole Cam is going to be huge for examining shallow cover during pre-fishing," said Pro Angler Ott DeFoe. "The ability to spy on big bass under docks and brush piles without spooking them adds a unique and invaluable fish-finding perspective. Now I can check spots fast, and eliminate the ones without bass, without ever making a cast." The Aqua-Vu HD10i PRO will retail for $999 dollars and will be available this September.
