Sunline Finally Extends P-ION to Other FC Options

Introduction: Even with a full lineup of top quality lines in their suite of product, Sunline manages to push the envelope each year with a new introduction or two that keeps our Machine and abrasion tester busy. We're about ready to fall behind again as the manufacturer had three new products to show us at ICAST 2017.

Introducing Sunline Crank FC with P-ION tech!

Crank FC: If you were already a fan of Reaction FC, you'll be glad to know it's back, but in a new and improved manner. Sunline takes their industry first P-Ion technology that creates a smoother yet more abrasion resistant surface for longer lasting lines. This is the same technology Sunline debuted with Assassin FC - a product we reviewed back in 2015. Look for Crank FC to be available in 200 yard spools and a clear color (rather than the grey of Reaction FC). Retail price is set for $25.99 per spool.

Unlike the former Reaction FC, Crank FC is clear.

Siglon PEx4 is a more affordable 4-strand braid option from Sunline.

Siglon PEx4: Already with a successful suite of braided lines, Sunline introduces, in their Siglon sub-brand, PEx4 - a 4 strand braid featuring a tight weave, high resistance to abrasion, low color bleed, and a very good strength to diameter ratio as well as good knot strength. Siglon PEx4 will be available in dark green and high vis orange in spools of 165 yd or 1968yds. Strengths are set at 10, 12, 16, 20, 30, 40 and 50lb test. The 168yd spools will retail for $10.99 per spool.

It will be available in 2 colors.

Siglon PEx8: If you like the idea of PEx4 but prefer more strands in your braid, Siglon PEx8 features all the same great design characteristics of PEx4 but in an 8 braid instead of 4. While PEx8 mimics the same spool size and strengths as PEx4, it will also be available in strengths of 60, 80, 90, and 100lb. Expect an MSRP of $14.99 for a 168yd spool of Siglon PEx8.

PEx8 is similar to PEx4 but of course, with 8 strands instead of 4.

Conclusion: Crank FC is set to hit shelves of your authorized Sunline dealers sometime this month (July 2017) with the Siglon braided lines quickly behind in September.
