Behind the Scenes

An Inside Look: The TackleTour Lab - Bring Up  (continued)

Operational: After a few weeks we were finally operational, okay semi-operational. We had started moving our equipment in and with the photography and video lighting fully installed we could finally get back to reviewing tackle. We also started a new series called the “autopsies” which gave readers an inside look at how we break down lures to better understand the design of each bait.

The "autopsies" begin

Before we knew it the Holiday Season was upon us and it was time for our 2010 Holiday Gift Guide. It was good timing that the new studio was up and running as our scheduled shoots were all rained out. We brought the shoot indoors and was able to give all our equipment a complete run through.

Working the green screen

It was only appropriate that Casey was front and center at our first event shoot at the new lab, and she was joined by a friend, Mackenzie. We wish we could say that the shoot went without a hitch but during the shoot we ironed out a few lighting, teleprompter and green screen issues and we finally were ready to start shooting some product.
