This Aftco hoodie fits comfortably and looks great!

Quality/Construction: Anyone who picks up this hoodie from Aftco will quickly realize that the majority of it was constructed with a pleasing level of care. The 80/20 cotton/polyester fabric is very smooth and feels soft to the touch. All of the outer stitching is tight and clean, but on the inside a few areas looked a bit sloppy and had some long thread tag-ends still leftover. The front and hood zippers can both be drawn easily.

I'm a fan of the slim profile.

Performance: It's hard to get excited about a hoodie, but after I put it on for the first time I was pretty enthusiastic about this garment. It fits me great, has dimensions that aren't bulky, and is extremely comfortable. The soft inner liner adds a bit of warmth and feels fantastic, especially if wearing a short-sleeve shirt underneath. As advertised, the outer fabric indeed repels water nicely, making this garment a fine choice for protecting against spray from a choppy quartering sea or light rain shower.

Features: The Aftco front-zip technical hoodie delivers added features not normally found in your average run-of-the-mill garment. In addition to the inner and outer fabric there are built-in thumb holes, two outer and two inner pockets, front and back “roller guide” logos, and in my opinion the neatest feature—a removable hood. This is an awesome feature if you don't like or need the hood or simply want a different look for strolling around downtown.

The threadwork on the inside isn't the tidiest in a couple of areas.

Design and Ergonomics: If you want a fishing-friendly hoodie that will look great around town, the Aftco Technical Front-Zip Hoodie is definitely worth a look. The size M fits my 6-foot 3-inch 180-pound frame very well and looks aesthetically pleasing. Sizes run the gamut from M up to XXL, but only three colors are available.

Built-in thumb holes are a nice touch and provide a high level of comfort.

Application: Fishing, hiking, jogging, bike riding, watching a football game, grocery shopping—just a few of the acceptable places to wear the Aftco Hoodie. Needless to say, this is a garment you can wear anywhere and be both comfortable and stylish. It's warm and not overly bulky which makes it a solid pick for either a mid or outer layer.

Conclusion: This is a hoodie I can see myself wearing into the future. It does everything that's expected of it and doesn't cost a fortune. I don't think there are many anglers out there that don't own at least one sweatshirt/hoodie to help subdue mother nature's occasional chill.
