PRODUCTTPREVIEW : e21 Goes Micro

Date: 1/8/10
Tackle type: Rods
Manufacturer: e21
Reviewer: Team TackleTour

Introduction: Since the departure of Boyd Ducket from the e21 camp, there have been a few other changes within the company. These changes have done little to stop their drive to produce new and effective fishing tools, and as we've come to find, e21 is joining the micro-guide craze. They are the second rod manufacturer to get in our hands rods with these new guides.

Introducing e21's Carrot Stix Micro Guide Rods.

Information is a little limited at this time, but you can expect a full run down in our eventual review of this product. For now, we know there are approximately fourteen models total in their lineup (11 casting, 3 spinning) and prices will range from $189 - $199.

The Micro Guide craze is in full effect for 2010.

Here is a comparison between a micro guided Carrot Stix and the standard guide found on the 21 Carrot Gold Stix.

The Micro Series will have a familiar reel seat...

... and the butt cap from the LTX series.

Al Jackson of e21 tells us these rods will make their official debut at the 2010 Bassmaster Classic in Lay Lake, Shelby County, Alabama.

Conclusion: The full lineup of e21 Carrot Stix Micro-Guide rods is expected to debut at the Bassmaster Classic which is just a few short weeks away in Lay Lake, Shelby County, Alabama. In the meantime, we'll be picking at least one of the six rods listed above to include in our 2010 The Search For One coverage beginning right away!
