Damiki Introduces A Wide Spectrum of New Lures

Introduction: Since the last ICAST show, Damiki has been hard at
work developing a plethora of new products. Covering techniques for power and
finesse fishing, these new additions appear to deliver excellent quality and
detail. Professional angler Bryan Thrift led us through the various features of
each item and what makes them special.
The Kaiser Jig head is perfect for finesse
applications around snaggy bottom.
Kaiser jig head:
The Kaiser jig head has undergone a redesign and now features a single fiber
weedguard for protection while fishing around snags. In addition, it features a
short shank wide gap hook, and flat eyelet. Available in 1/16 and 1/8oz size
and in 4 colors. Retail will be $4.25 for a pack of 3.
The simplistic Pandla jig head will work
well with several styles of plastics, including small swimbait bodies either
solo or on an umbrella rig.
Pandla jig head:
The new Pandla jig head is only available in an unpainted finish. It is touted
as being excellent for small swimbaits and is a smart choice for use on an
umbrella rig. Sizes include 1/16, 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4oz. Hook sizes will be
4/0 and 5/0. Expect to pay $4.99 for a pack of 5.
The hefty Axe blade makes a
great little bait for probing the depths.
Weighing 3/4oz, the Axe Blade will be a great bait if you want to show those
deep fish something a bit different. It features a trailer hook that is
attached to the tail base with a collar so it will not foul the blade or other
treble. It will cost $11.99 and be available in 6 colors.
The Abyss 90 is said to be a great choice
for cold water and lethargic fish.
Abyss 90: The
suspending Abyss 90 jerkbait features a long bill that helps it dive down to a
maximum depth of 8 feet. It also features a tight wobbling action to help it
look extremely realistic on the retrieve. It weighs 3/7oz and comes in a 3.5”
size with 6 different colors available. Price will be $11.99.
The Hummingbird 70 is a jerkbait for the
This bait is marketed as a “finesse jerkbait” with a length of just 2.5” and a
weight of 2/7oz. It will suspend on the pause, but can also be straight reeled
to be fished as a small minnow crankbait. 6 colors will be available and it
will dive to a maximum between 5-6 feet.. Retail will run $11.99.

large rubber gives the jig a textured appearance.
Mamba II jig:
The Mamba II jig utilizes a streamlined head to more easily slip through craggy
and snaggy bottom. The rubber skirt material is a mixture of both fine round
rubber and large, wide, flat rubber. The jig will come in 3/8 and 1/2 size with
6 color combinations. Price will be $4.99.
A new flip bait with lots of lifelike
Knock Out: The
Knock Out is a flipping, pitching, and punching bait with a smooth belly to
slide through cover, and a ribbed back to push water and cause vibration. The
claws feature air chambers similar to the Air Craw to help them retain buoyancy
and increase their action. Claws and wing flaps are detachable so an angler can
customize the bait to their liking. These baits weigh 3/7oz and are 4.5” long.

1/2oz and features an air pocket in the rear section of the worm. This air
pocket allows the rear to float up slightly giving the entire bait an extremely
