Tightlines UV Sheds Some Light On Their Latest Offerings

Date: 7/30/13
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Admission: Buyers & Press Only
Manufacturer: UV Tightlines
Reviewer: Wolbugger

Introduction:
Tightlines UV baits are quite different when compared to others on the market. What makes them so unique? They are made using “Ultimate Vision” which basically means these baits are put together with an ultraviolet vision enhancer that allows them to be more visible to bass. Backed by a solid pro staff including names like Brent Chapman, Byron Velvick, Bill Lowen, and Justin Lucas, Tightlines UV baits have garnered a solid following.

The Bubba Craw is a new trailer from UV Tightlines

UV Bubba Craw: The Tightlines UV Bubba Craw is available in both 3” and 4” sizes. This soft plastic bait is designed primarily for use as a jig trailer, and features a chunky body with ridges for extra displacement and a more lifelike feel. The craw arms are also segmented to provide more undulating action upon retrieve. The 3” sizes come in packs of 6, while 4” comes in packs of 5. You can choose from 5 different colors, or a combo pack. Whichever one you choose, expect to pay $5.99.

The Jig Wobblehead features a jointed head segment for extra action

The head is UV of course

UV Wobblehead: This jig head features a jointed head segment for extra action. The head also sports a special UV coating for increased visibility to fish. Standard on each jig head is a Trokar hook for maximum hook setting efficiency. Great for a multitude of plastics, the UV Wobblehead is also perfect for the Tightlines UV Hog. Available in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 ounce sizes in either green or black. All sizes come in packs of 2 for $5.99 per pack.

The company is now working with hardbait manufacturers...

...and you may soon see other brands employing the UV coatings

Conclusion: Brett Ware, President of Tightlines UV, was enthusiastic about his products at ICAST, and rightfully so. These baits seemed a bit gimmicky when I first saw them awhile back, but after really looking into how they are made and the science behind it all, it really is quite intriguing. All of these latest baits are available right now. We were also told to be on the lookout for some new hardbaits in the near future.
