Introduction:
RIO is one of the top producers of premium fly lines, tippets, and accessories in the industry. We've had pleasant experiences recently using their latest products, and now they are taking trout fishing to new heights with new fly line and tippet material that's sure to grab the eye of any trout bum. Their new Perception fly line and Suppleflex tippet material are feature-laden to help you fool even more trout!

The team at RIO introduce the new Perception Fly Line

Perception Fly Line: Within their trout series of fly lines, the all-new Perception fly line is a hot new floating line that's geared towards taking your river or lake fishing experience to the highest level. Built using ultra-low stretch ConnectCore technology, the increased sensitivity of these lines means superior cast timing, mending ability, line lift, and hook sets. Each line also sports the SureFire tri-color system which breaks the running line, back taper, and front taper into three separate colors making it easier for anglers to get an accurate idea of distances for better casting and presentations. Finishing off each line is a MaxCast hydrophobic coating, MaxFloat tip technology, and an Agent X coating to keep the lines floating super high and shooting far.

Perception fly lines are available in two color combinations: light green/camo/tan, and camo/tan/gray from 3 through 8 weight sizes. Sitting above the RIO Gold fly lines, these lines go for $89.95 each.

Suppleflex Leaders: Under the freshwater series, RIO introduces the Suppleflex line of trout leaders. A perfect compliment to the new Perception fly lines, these knot-less leaders are made for anglers demanding the ultimate in finesse presentations. Every leader is comprised of ultra soft nylon that allows flies to land quietly and makes for the best drag-free floats possible. The butt portion of each leader is a dark olive color, but the tippet portion remains totally clear.

RIO Suppleflex leaders all feature a hand-tied perfection loop on the butt end for simple rigging. Leaders will be available in 9 and 13.5 foot lengths, ranging in size from 7X (2lb) to 3X (8lb) at a retail price of $5.95.

The new RIO fly lines look great on paper and we look forward to seeing how they perform in the field

Conclusion: From Trout to Tarpon, RIO has always made the right lines to suit any angler. These latest offerings should help to amplify your experiences even further and bring more fish to hand. As fly lines and leaders continue to become even more technical, you can be guaranteed that RIO will always be at the forefront. As we close out this brief overview of a couple of RIO's newest products, keep it tuned to Tackle Tour for a full review of another RIO product in the days ahead!
